What to do when traveling to Nevis:

  • Lodging- Nevis offers boutique hotels and larger properties like Montpelier Plantation, Mount Nevis Hotel, Pinney’s Beach Hotel, Golden Rock, Nisbet Plantation and the majestic Four Season Resort, among others.
  • Attractions-Nevis is very rich in history, mainly because of Alexander Hamilton’s heritage and close connection to the island.  There are plenty to see for the history buffs.  You can visit the Museum of Nevis History, a must while in Nevis as it is housed on the first floor of the Georgian style building where Alexander Hamilton was born in 1757. Visitors can also explore old sugar plantations, botanical gardens, historic churches, and much more.
  • Dining- Dining is casual and relaxed, with a good range of choices from casual beach shacks to romantic plantation hotels.  Many serve Caribbean dishes including freshly caught fish and local fruits and ingredients. Some of the better known restaurants are: Mangos, Bananas, Chrishi Beach, Oualie Restaurant, and Yachtsman Grill.
  • Beaches- There are about ten amazing beaches to visit in Nevis. Gallows Bay, Oualie Beach, Paradise Beach and Lovers Beach. But one of the more famous beaches on Nevis is Pinney’s Beach which runs for about three miles and is located on the outskirts of Charlestown.

Airport Information

Vance W. Amory International Airport (NEV):

Cape Air has check-in counters at the main terminal. After check-in, passengers will have to go through security screening and then on to the gate waiting area. Cape Air will operate one daily flight between San Juan and Nevis.
